Anna Chiara Sicilia is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Supervisor and mental health consultant for TV, Media and Radio. Anna worked for a number of years in the NHS and now specialises in supporting creative professionals and people from the LGBTQI+ community. Anna offers trauma-focused and trauma-informed therapy (including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing – EMDR – therapy) and uses the integrative approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic skills. Dr Anna Waters is an HCPC Registered and BPS Chartered Performance Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals and organisations across high-performance environments, specialising in the performing arts.

Anna has extensive experience working with performers across disciplines, including musicians, actors, singers, dancers and comedians. Alongside individual performers, she supports whole production teams, including producers, directors, crew members, stage managers, lighting/sound technicians and everyone else involved in bringing a production together.

Her work focuses on areas such as performance anxiety, preparation under pressure and sustaining performer health and wellbeing. She supports clients in enhancing regulation and recovery and strengthening communication and coordination within groups. She is experienced supporting injury rehabilitation and return to performance. 

Anna’s background spans a wide range of high-performance settings. She has worked with Olympic, Paralympic and professional sporting organisations and has held key roles within multidisciplinary medical teams, for over two decades. This breadth of experience informs her holistic, collaborative approach to supporting performance and wellbeing.

Her doctoral research explored the role of confidence in injury and return to performance. She has a particular interest in supporting performers through injury rehabilitation, including managing fear of re-injury and rebuilding confidence when returning to the stage.

Anna helps performers to build emotional resilience, manage stress and navigate the psychological demands of high-performance, public-facing professions. She supports clients with a range of issues performance-related stress, low self-esteem, life transitions and relationship difficulties.

Her approach is flexible and client-centred, drawing on evidence-based performance psychology, alongside therapeutic models such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and person-centred therapy. She also offers single-session therapy, where suitable.

Anna is committed to working inclusively and respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, sexualities, religions and faiths. She has experience supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and dyslexia.

Emma has extensive experience of working with those in the performing arts, in particular musicians, touring personnel, live event promoters and film production personnel. She works with performance anxiety, depression, work-related stress and addiction. Additionally, Emma provides therapy for creatives who struggle with confidence, perfectionism, migration, life transitions, relationship issues, loss and bereavement.

Emma has worked in a wide range of mental health settings and has experience of providing psychological support to client from different cultural backgrounds. She has worked in the NHS, mental health settings, bereavement charities and in private practice.

In regards of therapeutic approach, Emma mainly works in an existential and phenomenological way, without using pre-established templates or labels to find new ways of existing in a world that can feel overwhelming. She also works with other main therapeutic approaches such as person-centred therapy and CBT when suitable.

Emma provides therapy in English and Swedish for those aged 18 and over.

Luke Aldridge-Waddon is a Clinical Psychologist working within the NHS and in independent practice. He is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and he is an accredited Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Luke is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society. He maintains an active research portfolio with ongoing clinical-research collaborations as an Honorary Research Fellow at Brunel University London.

Luke provides psychological assessment and therapy services. He works mainly within a cognitive-behavioural framework, integrating principles from CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. His work with performing artists often focuses on interplay between psychosocial distress, physical health symptoms which might be interfering with performance and functioning, and the demands of a performing arts career. Within this, he has a special interest in working with voice users and is a recipient of prizes from the British Voice Association (Van Lawrence Prize, 2023) and Dysphonia International (Travel Award) in recognition of his research on clinical psychology and voice disorders.

Luke can help with issues relating to long-term and persistent physical health symptoms which are currently impacting psychological wellbeing; depression and mood-related difficulties; anxiety disorders (generalised, health, social, panic, phobias); difficulties with adjustment, acceptance and adherence; difficulties with self-esteem and self-criticism; challenges with role transition and identity-related difficulties.

Luke only works with adults and does not offer crisis and acute services.

Dr Maja Jankowska is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist specialising in the assessment and treatment of trauma and other psychological and emotional difficulties. She has worked with people presenting with a range of psychological problems as well as those who wanted to learn, develop and grow as individuals. Her PhD was in the area of personal growth and development, and she is particularly interested in practices that facilitate resilience and post-traumatic growth, guiding her clients in their journey beyond the pain of their past and into the discovery of meaning and purpose in life.

Maja has worked with numerous performers including vocalists (opera, musical theatre, jazz as well as other genres), classical musicians, actors as well as writers, artistic directors, TV producers, visual artists, dancers and other creative minds involved in the performance. She supports artists not only in the therapy room but she also volunteers in her local theatre and a youth opera company.

Maja has a Ģtv interest in performance-related traumas, intergenerational trauma, workforce wellbeing, and in treating psychological presentations in the aftermath of traumatic experiences. She is interested in body-brain integration work and approaches that facilitate growth. Maja is committed to working in a collaborative, enabling and empowering way and is responsive to the needs and preferences of her clients.

Maja can help with all aspects of performance psychology, in particular: stage fright, anxiety, managing nerves, dealing with and recovering from the psychological effects of injury (including so called medically unexplained symptoms – MUS or persistent physical symptoms PPS, focal dystonia and tinnitus), preparing for auditions, managing setbacks and rejection, dealing with pressure to be perfect and pressure from social media, dealing with social comparison, social anxiety and jealousy, time management, building resilience, and improving mental preparation for performance as well as managing ‘post show’ slumps.

Maja has also a long-standing experience in lecturing in Psychology and CBT and delivering clinical supervision as well as workshops and training. She is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of British Psychological Society and a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. She provides Ģtv teaching, training, supervision and consultation in relation to trauma as well as work-place wellbeing and stress management.

Maja has significant experience of working with individuals from the global majority (previously referred to as ethnic minorities). She has also been involved in significant pieces of research within this area, including co-publishing a Positive Practice Guide for the NHS.

Maja is fully bilingual and can also deliver therapy in Polish.
