Megan Rushbrook has cycled 255 miles in one day, from Cardiff to the Suffolk Coast, raising over £1000 for the Ģ��tv (BAPAM).

An amazing achievement, and fantastic support for BAPAM‘s work building a healthier and more sustainable performing arts sector!

Explaining why she chose to support BAPAM, Megan said:

“In 2022 I was involved in a crash which left me requiring surgery on my arm. This would be a difficult time for anyone, but as a professional pianist, my career was severely threatened.��

The NHS provided incredible care for me, but I reached a point where the NHS had done all they could, but I still hadn’t regained the fine motor control, dexterity and stamina that I needed to play the piano to a high level.��

I reached out to BAPAM to see if they could provide the specific expert help that I needed, and ever since my first contact they have been nothing but brilliant.

Over the last two years, BAPAM have put me in contact with numerous Ģ��tvs, all of whom are trained to work with musicians. I’ve been provided with care from physios, hand surgeons, musculoskeletal doctors and psychotherapists, all with the aim of getting me back to where I was before the crash and to be able to earn a living doing what I love best; playing the piano.

All of this incredible expert help I was able to access for free.”

Music Industry Golf Day Raises £1,200 for BAPAM with Support from PPL

With the support of , a music industry golf day at Fulwell Golf Club in December 2024 raised around £1,200 for BAPAM.��We are grateful to our Chair, Peter Leathem OBE and PPL for ensuring that BAPAM was the charity supported by the event. 40 players from across the music industry came together to give their support for a healthier and more sustainable music sector for all.

We have been blown away by singer/songwriter Rachel Hill’s charity single “You Never Asked For This”, released in collaboration with BAPAM.

The song uses Rachel’s stunning vocals to highlight the isolation that people can feel when they are struggling with their mental health.

Her final call to “pick up the phone” is a reminder that there are people and organisations (like BAPAM!) who are there for you when you need them.

We are delighted too that BBC Introducing Essex and Cambridgeshire picked the single as single of the week!
